2. ROADSIDE DINING APPLICATIONS

City of Stonnington Roadside Dining Applications Open

The City of Stonnington's Roadside Dining program returns to coincide wit the Victorian Government's re-opening roadmap.  All permit fees and basic infrastructure costs will be wived for eligible businesses until 30 April 2022.

There's two options for businesses:

  • A Summer Roadside Dining Permit to establish a parklet for six months
  • An annual 365 Roadside Dining permit for businesses looking for a year-round parklet

The City of Stonington's web content includes information about options available to businesses and support available from the City of Stonnington to make this happen.

Please note, the City of Stonnington can only allow roadside dining where safe to do so and businesses already in the program need to make an application to extend their current permits.

3. RE-OPENING RETAIL

As outlined in the Victorian Government's roadmap, we are excited for the opportunity for retail to reopen outdoors.

Businesses looking to use the footpath for a commercial service (such as the display of goods) are required to apply and obtain a footpath trading permit from the City of Stonnington.  This is being offered at no cost until 31 December 2021.

Alternatively, if you have a backyard or off-street parking you would like to use for outdoor retail contact the City of Stonnington Business Concierge Service.

4. RANGE OF FEES AND PERMIT FEES WAIVED FOR BUSINESSES

City of Stonnington Councillors recently endorsed close to $800,000 of business and community support inititiaves through their COVID Response/Recovery Fund.

This includes a number of support programs for businesses:

  • Waiving a range of business fees including footpath trading permits, health registrations and trader directional signage;
  • A targeted business mentoring program over the next 12 months;
  • A trial program to support young people to stay safe as nightclubs and entertainment precincts re-open.

Businesses do not need to do anything to claim fee refunds or waivers, it will be automatically applied.

7. STAR HEALTH & CITY OF STONNINGTON LOCAL BUSINESS MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT.

Every business in Stonnington is facing challenges and disruptions during the COVID-19 Pandemic. City of Stonnington has partnered with Star Health to offer local business owners and their employees confidential mental health support.  See attached PDF  which you can open and/or download.

 

8. WORKERS REQUIRED TO BE VACCINATED

Here is information regarding what needs to be done regarding Workers Required to Be Vaccinated Please note there is a downloadable Vaccination Register included on the page. Please download it and fill in the required information and keep it in your records.
